About Our Clinic and Services

Dr. Eliezer Ben-Joseph

After more than thirty years of study and research covering the globe, Dr. Eliezer Ben-Joseph knows alternative medicine. Studying the latest information in his field, as well as other branches of medicine is a daily pursuit for him. His new facility, Natural Solutions Network, offers some of the latest equipment for assessment and treatment.

What is alternative medicine?

It’s a method of treatment that is an alternative to the drug and surgery model offered by allopathic physicians. Alternative medicine works with the body to strengthen and support all of its systems, helping the body to help itself in correcting the conditions known as “disease”.

What is Medical Thermography?

Digital Infrared Thermal Imaging (DITI) or, simply termed, thermography, is one of the most exciting, yet overlooked diagnostic procedures of this century. It is a visual imaging, non-invasive tool which uses the heat from your body to create a thermal “map”. This is referred to as a thermogram.  Thermography aids in diagnosing a variety of health care conditions. It is completely safe and uses no radiation.

How does thermography work?

Utilizing a high-speed computer and a highly accurate thermal imaging camera, the heat-generated images from your body are recorded and processed by the computer into an image map which is then stored on the computer.  The image is then sent via email to Interpretive Services group   specialists in the interpretation of medical thermal imagery. The Interpretive Services group is comprised of physicians who have specialized in various areas of thermal image interpretation and have Board Certification in Medical Thermography from the American Medical Infrared Academy.

A doctor can use the images to locate areas of heat and cold. These areas relate to conditions for which the Food and Drug Administration and the Bureau of Medical Devices have approved the thermography procedure.

The medical applications of thermography are extensive, particularly in the fields of rheumatology, neurology, oncology, physiotherapy, and sports medicine. Thermal imaging systems are economical, easy-to-use tools for accurately examining and monitoring patients.

What can it determine?

Indications for a thermographic evaluation include breast pathology, deep vein thrombosis, extra-cranial vessel disease (head and neck vessels), neuro-musculo-skeletal injury disorders, and vascular diseases of the lower extremities.

Other conditions diagnosed are: arteriosclerosis, breast disease, bursitis, carpal tunnel syndrome, headache evaluation, herniated or ruptured disc disease, inflammatory connective tissue disease, infectious disease (shingles, leprosy), ligament/tendon/muscle tear, nerve trauma, neuropathy, neoplasia (melanoma, squamous cell, basal), nutritional disease (alcoholism, diabetes), Raynaud’s syndrome, sprain/strain, stroke, trigeminal neuralgia, TMJ, whiplash.

What about breast screening for women? What are the benefits?

Timeliness: Problems, both cancerous tumors and lumps, can be found a full 5 to 8 years before abnormalities are seen on mammograms. Early detection provides the best outcome.

Inclusiveness: Examines the whole chest, breast and armpit areas. Good for all breast types: young/dense, fibrocystic, women on HRT.

Precision: Locates exact problem area, allowing for more precise focus with structural diagnostic tests such as ultrasound, mammogram, and MRI.

No Risk: No harmful rays emitted so it can be done as often as needed without risk.

No Pain: No painful squeezing, pressure, or touching by equipment or technician.

What is the Power Stand?

The Power Stand is a machine that uses ‘Whole Body Vibration Training Therapy’. The medical benefits of the Power Stand are considerable, as evidenced by its acceptance in medical, rehabilitation and therapeutic centers across the country. It uses advanced vibration technology, allowing people with debilitating conditions, such as osteoporosis, arthritis, multiple sclerosis, Parkinson’s disease, and stroke victims, to avail themselves of the benefit of exercise while working within their personal limitations.  Published studies have shown that whole body vibration training may provide the only method of counteracting the degeneration of bone density, providing new bone growth without the aid of pharmacology. The Power Stand is the ultimate weapon against osteoporosis, which affects millions of Americans each year.

How does the Power Stand work?

Whole body vibration engages the body’s innate reflexive response to disruptions in stability in order to stimulate muscle strength and performance, flexibility, and range of motion. During the intense vibration there is a release of critical fitness, wellness and longevity hormones. Whole body vibration also stimulates fat reduction and the reduction of pain, particularly lumbar back ailments, by increasing blood circulation and metabolism.

Whole body vibration training using the Power Stand provides a proven, low-impact method for achieving fitness and wellness goals and increasing longevity.

The Power Stand has made a substantial impact on the world of sports medicine. Professional teams from all four major sports, including the NFL’s Tampa Bay Buccaneers, NHL Stanley Cup finalists the Anaheim Mighty Ducks, and Major League Baseball’s Chicago Cubs, among many other pro teams, currently utilize the Power Stand for its host of whole body vibration training benefits. As a result, it is now gaining attention among mainstream health and fitness professionals and longevity centers across the country. The Power Stand is not only for elite athletes, but also for the host of Americans, young and old, who want to live longer, healthier lives.

What is Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy?

Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy is a medical treatment which safely delivers high doses of oxygen to the body tissues. The patient is entirely enclosed in a pressure chamber, breathing 100% pure oxygen (O2) at greater than one atmosphere pressure. The chamber is pressurized with compressed air as the patient receives pure O2 by mask, head tent, or nasal tube.

How does Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy work?

The pressure inside the chamber causes the oxygen you breathe to be dissolved at greater levels in your blood, spinal fluid, lymphatic fluid, and all tissue. Hyper oxygenation infuses extra oxygen into the blood plasma, increasing oxygen saturation in all tissue. This can increase the level of oxygen in compromised tissues to greater than 10-15 times normal values.

What are the currently accepted indications for HBO?

Air/Gas Embolisms, Carbon Monoxide Poisoning and Smoke Inhalation, Decompression, Sickness, Adjunctive Hyperbaric Oxygen in Intracranial Abscess, Gas Gangrene, Crush Injuries, Necrotizing Soft Tissue Infection, Enhanced Healing of Selected Wounds, Exceptional Blood Loss, Osteomyelitis, Radiation Tissue Damage, Skin Grafts and Flaps
Thermal Burns

What are some of the research indications for HBO?

HBO is performed in certain instances that are life and/or limb threatening, but that are still considered experimental and not approved as accepted conditions. These include:

Cerebral Palsy, Multiple Sclerosis, Muscular Dystrophy, Cerebrovascular Accident, Head Injury, (Stroke, Edema), Fracture Healing and Bone Grafting, Sickle Cell Anemia Crises, Spider Bite (Brown Recluse), Spinal Cord Injury (Acute)

It’s important for the reader to know that these services are only a few of the technologies now available. The field of alternative medicine is quite comprehensive and we include as much as is currently possible at our facility. We are very excited to be able to offer these services and look forward to adding more innovative services in the future.
